This unique table, designed to appear as if it's emerging from a wall, is crafted from the bow of a 34’ sailboat built in Maine in 1952. The table’s body is made from varnished cedar, while its surface features a stunning combination of restored teak decking and custom-cut glass. Its design includes a weathered, painted name and a continuous line running from a bronze block on the deck to a mount high on the wall, suggesting a head stay.
Built-in Fish Bar
This breathtaking family room centerpiece is a built-in bar crafted from a 10-foot hull section of a 34’ sailboat built in Maine in 1952. The face of the bar is varnished cedar, while the bar-top is teak decking. It features weathered bottom paint sealed beneath varnish, inlaid mahogany fish, and a brass rail. This project required meticulous coordination with the architect, cabinet maker, and contractor during the home renovation.
